A pair of Bauhaus nightstands from the 30’s or 40’s by the Muecke Melder company in beautiful vintage condition. The upper plates were repainted and therefore differ slightly in color, and the tables were also completely cleaned and polished. There is minor veneer damage and wear visible in the wood; the chrome-plated steel tubes are in overall good condition and show a nice shine. The steel tube does not close 100% flush with the wood on all sides – this may be due to manufacturing or may have occurred over time (see pictures). The wooden rails inside are not original.
