Very rare Bauhaus sofa frame with blue wooden drawer on castors. There is a second grid on top of the wooden box, which can be folded up to give access to the storage space underneath (e.g. for a bed / mattress). The chrome plating is exceptionally well preserved and shows only normal signs of use. There is minor damage to the wooden case and more signs of wear to the paintwork – it is very likely to be the original paintwork. The sofa can probably be dated to the 1930s or early 1940s.
