Bauhaus display cabinet in burgundy red, attributed to Karel Ort A very rare large Bauhaus display cabinet, attributed to the Czech designer Karel Ort. The cabinet is in very good, partially restored original condition, consistent with its age. With the exception of a small area of damage, it retains its original burgundy-red finish. Some damage and signs of wear are visible on the surfaces. The right-hand handle, as well as three spacer sleeves and the screw fasteners, have been replaced with polished stainless steel. The screw connections between the two display cases, as well as the screws securing them to the substructure, were also replaced; the glass panels were remanufactured The locks were refurbished and are now functioning on all doors. Completely disassembled, cleaned and polished.
