Bauhaus sofa and seating group by Slezak, multifunctional furniture

Rare Bauhaus combination sofa, attributed to the Slezak company from the Czech Republic, probably from the 30s or 40s. The center wooden support can be snapped into place at the top of the backrest and a stand can be folded out. In a few simple steps, a sofa or daybed can be transformed into a seating area with a table. A simple but ingenious and timeless design that fully embraces the Bauhaus idea. The tubular steel frame shows a nice shine overall, but has signs of corrosion and wear in some places (we will be happy to send you more detailed photos upon request). The wooden panels are no longer 100% straight; over time a minimal bulge has developed, but this is not noticeable in the seating comfort. The seat cushions with spring core should be reupholstered according to taste, even if the existing blue covers are still acceptably preserved, in addition to corresponding signs of aging and color differences. The frame was completely disassembled and extensively polished; the covers of the foot pegs were replaced. Dimensions (approx.): width 200,0cm / depth 85,0cm / height table top 69,0cm Please note: For the mind, if necessary, the sofa is completely disassembled. For this sofa we can provide shipping to many countries. For this purpose, the sofa is completely disassembled and divided into several packages. The assembly is not difficult, but requires some time effort. Please contact us for the possibility of international shipping – we will be happy to check the options individually.
